At Sherwood Dental Care, we believe excellent
dental care can and should be done in a comfortable
and caring environment. While our list of services
reads pretty much like any dental office, we
go about it quite differently. We've invested
in the latest technology to make procedures
comfortable and efficient, from routine exams,
cleanings, and fillings, to restorative and
cosmetic work, including veneers, whitening
(bleaching) and esthetic crowns. In fact, if
there is a kind of equipment or service that
will improve our effectiveness and enhance your
care, then we offer it. We have several things
to make your visit more comfortable:
- Cable TVs in the ceiling above every
dental chair (you get headphones and hold
the remote control)
- You can bring in DVDs and watch them
while having your dental care completed
- Caring well educated doctors and staff
- Massage mats remotely controlled
by you to set kneading pattern and intensity
for your back and shoulders
- Stereo headphones to listen to your
favorite CD or the radio
- Hot moist towels after dental care
- And state of the art dental equipment including:
- Intraoral cameras
to see your teeth on TV to better understand
what is happening in your mouth
- Digital x-rays to
reduce radiation exposure and allow us to
use computer tools to help diagnose potential
problems early
- Cosmetic imaging
to see what you might look like with a new
smile
- Fully computerized office
(computers in every treatment area) to speed
documentation and keep all your records
organized and up to date (we are "paperless")
- Patient education computer
programs that can be watched
in the dental chair on the TV
- Air abrasion to
gently remove decay from small cavities
- X-Rite Shade Vision System,
a computerized colorimeter from the same manufacturuer
as paint-chip matching machines, designed for matching
the shade of teeth
- Doctors wear "loops"
to magnify teeth to aid in diagnosis and
treatment
